0-12 MUSICA FAMILIARE: LE QUATTRO STAGIONI e altri concerti di Antonio Vivaldi
From 30 September to 30 September Italy / Modena
The Ensemble Armoniosa offers a fresh perspective on Vivaldi's masterpiece through a chamber rewriting that elevates the basso continuo to a concertante role. In the adaptation of The Four Seasons, the organ, harpsichord, and 5-string violoncello piccolo step out of the shadows of accompaniment to converse equally with the solo violin, integrating the orchestral parts without reducing the original score and revealing a dense and precious sonic texture. The program – completed by the Sonata RV 47 for cello, the Concerto RV 383a from La Stravaganza op. 4 transcribed for organ and violin, and the overwhelming virtuosity of the Sonata op. 1 no. 12 "La Follia" – offers a listening experience of extraordinary poetic and timbral adherence.
