Teodora Tommasi singing and baroque harp
The short concert-story will guide you to discover the baroque harp, one of the oldest and most fascinating instruments. Through music from the 16th and 17th centuries, performed and told by the harpist and singer Teodora Tommasi, the audience of the little ones will be immersed in a sound journey made of dances, songs and stories, which will demonstrate how the harp is able to conquer the hearts of everyone! An opportunity to discover the secrets of this regal instrument: how the harp works, the history of the double harp (which is actually triple) and its role in the world of music. Teodora Tommasi will tell the story of Settimia Caccini, a harpist and singer from the often overlooked past, but in reality a great virtuoso of the seventeenth century. The program, which also includes songs by her father Giulio Caccini and her husband Alessandro Ghivizzani, will offer fast and slow dances, virtuosity and toccatas, highlighting all the nuances of this magical instrument. An experience that combines music, storytelling and curiosity.
