Discover La Ritirata's latest album
Last August, La Ritirata released its latest CD ‘Fandango: Boccherini String Quintets’ (Glossa / Note 1 Music), featuring 4 of the finest string quintets for two cellos or cello and violin, including Boccherini's ‘Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid’, which contains ‘La Ritirata’, the piece that gave the ensemble its name.
In this new work, Josetxu Obregón is accompanied by La Ritirata's regular musicians: HIro Kurosaki and Miriam Hontana on violins, Daniel Lorenzo on viola, Amarilis Dueñas on cello and Ismael Campanero on violin, as well as a special collaborator, David Mayoral, who plays castanets.
