CROSS-BORDER CULTURAL COOPERATION SIMPLIFIED: PEARLE* AND EFA RELEASE A NEW COOKBOOK ON THIRD COUNTRY NATIONAL ARTISTS WORKING IN THE EU
Pearle*-Live Performance Europe and the European Festivals Association (EFA) are publishing the latest edition of their Ultimate Cookbooks for Cultural Managers, a practical resource designed to help live performance professionals navigate the complex landscape of employment and immigration rules for third-country artists and cultural professionals working temporarily in the EU.

Simplifying a complex system
The ultimate cookbook for cultural managers: Third-Country National Artists Working in the EU breaks down the complex patchwork of immigration regulations in the EU Member States. While European legislation establishes a common framework, specific national rules create additional difficulties, particularly for touring artists who have to cross several borders on the same trip.
A practical tool for cultural professionals
This new edition is part of a series dedicated to demystifying the impact of EU policies, regulations and legislation on cultural organisations. It includes:
  • Practical advice for day-to-day operations.
  • Case studies highlighting concrete applications.
  • Clear advice on how to promote cross-border mobility and cultural cooperation.
A shared vision of cultural cooperation
The Cookbooks are being developed by the Pearle/EFA* partnership as part of the ‘Revealing the Alliance’ project, with support from Creative Europe. This collaboration will continue to develop under the new Care for Share Alliance grant, which runs from 2025 to 2028.
