Anima Eterna vzw - Belgium

Anima Eterna Brugge, the orchestra that has been studying historical performance practice for 35 years, is opening its doors to younger conductors. An important role in this is reserved for Giovanni Antonini. In the coming seasons, he will be leading a project as first guest conductor, and he will have a crucial role as music advisor.

Besides Giovanni Antonini, Bart Van Reyn, violinist Midori Seiler, and top international conductor Pablo Heras-Casado will also develop their own trajectory with the orchestra. The orchestral musicians continue the ambitious search for the source of sound through their investigation of appropriate instrumentation and playing techniques. Together with the diverse choice of conductors, they carry the mission of Anima Eterna: to enrich the collective memory and stimulate the infinite imagination of audience and musician. We call this mission 'The orchestra at the source'.
