From 30 December to 30 December Germany / Köln

Biographical breaks, breaks between times, places, genres - In the 10th century, the Japanese court lady Sei Shōnagon wrote her famous 'pillow book' full of contemplations on nature, which inspired the composer Malika Kishino (*1971) to write the composition 'Snow, Moon, Wind and Flowers'. This work was especially dedicated to the violinist Midori Seiler, who comes from a German-Japanese family. Seiler juxtaposes her interpretation with fantasies for violin by Georg Philipp Telemann and recites passages from Sei Shōnagon's original text. She was staged by director and author Dominique de Rivaz and lighting artist Dominique Dardant.
