zamus: early music festival | Repeat it! | Dorothee Oberlinger

The opening concert of the festival is all about the circular, the cyclical recurrence in music: Dorothee Oberlinger presents a veritable kaleidoscope of circular music in her new programme "Repeat it!". Together with her Ensemble 1700, she moves between baroque highlights and contemporary music – including the premiere of a commissioned work by Konstantia Gourzi. The programme also includes works by Francesco Geminiani, Antonio Vivaldi and John Cage, among others. Being a magician on the recorder, the audience might watch Dorothee Oberlinger playing herself into a frenzy.
