Theresia Orchestra presents: Le Salon de Beethoven

Theresia Orchestra’s annual chamber music academy in Geneva, led by violinist Chiara Banchini, continues its series on Beethoven’s symphonies in historical chamber transcriptions. This year’s program features Symphony No. 2 and a nocturne by Vienna’s early music publisher, Franz Anton Hoffmeister. Performed by six string players, a flautist, and two horn players, ‘Le Salon de Beethoven’ offers a glimpse into early 19th-century home music enjoyment. Concerts take place on 28 and 29 July as part of the delightful Concerts d’été de St Germain chamber music festival.
