the grand piano by joseph böhm
22 September 2024/ Germany / Greifenberg am Ammersee
At the beginning of the 19th century, Joseph Böhm wanted to treat the piano as an imaginary orchestra. In addition to the already common effects of the percussive ‘Janissary slide’ and the ‘bassoon slide’, he also added an organ stop in 1925. The concert features musical experiments with works by Mendelssohn and Beethoven as well as contemporary composers.
