Stabat Mater / Pergolesi

Led by the radiant personality of their conductor Martyna Pastuszka, the Polish {oh!} Orkiestra set the tone for the 45th Festival with this new programme featuring the voices of Bruno de Sá, a sopranist well known to Festival audiences, and countertenor Nicholas Tamagna, echoing the virtuoso violin of the Polish conductor. The high point of this 100% Italian programme is the return of one of the absolute masterpieces of the Baroque repertoire, the solar Stabat Mater by the Neapolitan Pergolesi.
