Mozart & Haydn | With Olivier Cavé

After two dates in Switzerland and one at the Salle Gaveau in Paris, Les Ambassadeurs ~ La Grande Ecurie perform works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Joseph Haydn with pianist Olivier Cavé. The date of composition of Haydn's Piano Concerto No. 4 is uncertain, but we do know that its dedicatee Maria Theresia von Paradis played it in Paris in 1784.
Inventive and witty, the work contains a solo part of indisputable daring, as does Mozart's Concerto No. 9 'Jeunehomme', an important creative stage, with the emergence of a lyricism of new intensity. At the helm of Les Ambassadeurs ~ La Grande Ecurie, Alexis Kossenko and Olivier Cavé bring back to life the ferment of this period of innovation and experimentation.
