Winner of the 7th edition of the Jardin des voix in 2015 and nominated ''Révélation artiste lyrique'' at the Victoires de la musique 2017, mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre will perform here with other brilliant musicians from the Jupiter ensemble.
This programme (co-produced with the AME) includes some of Bach's most emblematic works. We find all his virtuosity in the two concerti for harpsichord and violin, showing the extraordinary capacities of these instruments: violin concerto in A minor BWV 1041 (14') and harpsichord concerto in D minor BWV 1052 (20'). The cantata 'Ich habe genug' BWV 82 (22'), with one of the most beautiful arias for violin and concertante voices, 'echoes the fragility of life and takes us to a vision of paradise'. Finally, the very expressive cantata 'Mein Herze schwimmt im Blut' BWV 199 (23') 'expresses all human pain, and the feeling of redemption, relief and love that soothes us all'.
