If there was ever a blessed era for composers, it was the jubilee of the Italian Renaissance. By introducing a new form of writing, Monteverdi opened up countless creative possibilities for his successors. The musical diversity of this programme, whose composers are all contemporaries of the master, bears witness to this and is matched only by artistic creativity. Whether sculptural or pictorial, it exulted during this short period.
Founded in 1986 by Alain Recordier and now directed by Jean-Charles Legrand, Musicque de Joye is a Renaissance ensemble of variable geometry.
