Il Palazzo di Atlante

After 500 years of wandering in search for Angelica, Orlando finds himself among strange festive creatures, who with songs and artifices confuse his ideas about what Reason and Madness are. Increasingly disoriented, Orlando finds himself in the presence of Madness itself and its helpers, the chimeras. Pupulin's text is a free and contemporary reinterpretation of Erasmus of Rotterdam's "In Praise of Folly". The Palace of Atlas, the realm of illusions here becomes a metaphor for life, which needs dreams in order not to dissipate. The text revalorises utopias, searching a more integrated, less excluding meaning for life: hybrid, like chimeras.
