graindelavoix creates double concert for Laus Polyphoniae 2023

Bjorn Schmelzer's graindelavoix created a double concert for this years edition of Laus Polyphoniae. Two concerts about light and darkness, from the golden years of Antwerp to its fall and, in parallel, from the glory years to the fateful end of two polyphonic composers in Antwerp, in poverty and without recognition: Waelrant (1517-1595) and Cornet (1530-1582).
The concerts 'Waelrant & Cornet: The Glory and Fall of Two Stay-At-Homes' take place in the magnificent St. Carolus Borromeus Church in the historic city center of Antwerp and are part of this years edition of Laus Polyphoniae entitled ‘Antwerp. Townscape – Soundscape’.
