EUBO's Journey into ‘Exotism’ at Risonanze Festival

In the scenic hills of Malborghetto, North Italy, the European Union Baroque Orchestra (EUBO) embarks on its first project of 2024 in residence at the Risonanze Festival. Led by acclaimed violinist Gottfried von der Goltz, EUBO explores the allure of exotism and extravagance through works by Vivaldi, Purcell, and Rameau, including Il Grosso Mogul violin concerto and suites from Les Indes Galantes and The Indian Queen. The second half features EUBO's young baroque players accompanying the Coro del Friuli Venezia Giulia in pieces by Zelenka and Handel. Final concerts take place on 14 and 15 June in Gorizia and Malborghetto.
