El Gran Teatro del Mundo: The Art of Conversation
16 November 2022/ United Kingdom / Cambridge
This six-piece ensemble – oboe, recorders, cello, theorbo, harpsichord – have received several awards including, in 2019, the Cambridge Early Music Prize at the Early Music Young Artists Competition in York.
Their concert of music by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767), Johann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758) and Josep Pla (c.1728-1762) focuses on the ‘concerto da camera’ in which each instrumentalist performs a double role as soloist and accompanist.
This is an opportunity to hear a dynamic ensemble on its first UK tour, which also takes them to London, York, Nottingham, Southampton and Bristol.
