Dulcedo ensemble
The concert celebrates Italian musicians of the seventeenth century, often aristocrats or nuns, who distinguished themselves and asserted themselves in a world dominated by men. The program includes pieces by Barbara Strozzi, Francesca Caccini, Isabella Leonarda, Maria Xaveria Peruchona, Chiara Margarita Cozzolani and Caterina Assandra, all related to the modern "second practice" of the seventeenth century inaugurated by Claudio Monteverdi.
