By Giovanni Legrenzi, famous musician of the seventeenth century, several pieces are presented among which the most extensive is the "Dies Iræ", an opera for double choir, violas and continuo found in a Parisian manuscript. Legrenzi, known for his versatile musical production ranging from church to theatre, was master of the chapel at San Marco in Venice. His sacred music, characterized by baroque and renaissance styles, reflects his great compositional ability.
