SUBLIMATION
Traditional Scandinavian music
Since 2015, The Curious Bards has brought together artists from the world of early music and the prestigious conservatoires of Lyon, Paris and Basel, all of whom love traditional music with a Gaelic, Celtic and Scandinavian influence. Modern-day bards, these musicians are rigorous in their research, innovative and creative in their musical intent. They are supported by the Cité de la Voix de Vézelay, the Festival d'Ambronay and the Caisse des Dépôts.
Using typical instruments such as the Swedish Nyckelharpa or the Norwegian Hardingfele, The Curious Bards bring to light the little-known repertoire of Scandinavian countries and reveal all the richness of a music of magnificent melodic and harmonic singularity.
A unique, exotic programme, intensely fresh yet full of the warmth and infectious energy of traditional music!
