Anima Eterna Brugge plays Bruckner

In the coming years, Concertgebouw Brugge's resident orchestra Anima Eterna and Pablo Heras-Casado plan to tackle Bruckner's vast symphonies: a first for both orchestra and conductor! Together, they will dismantle those monuments brick by brick and rebuild them like new: with period instruments, period strings and a period-appropriate orchestra line-up, plus the historical sound of the famous Wagner tubas!  And there is no better starting point for this musical adventure than Bruckner's Seventh, the symphony with which he finally managed to win over audiences, after years of criticism and even open ridicule.
