Adonia - Phaedrus Ensemble

The originality of this young ensemble lies in the fact that it features a Renaissance traverso consort joined by a soprano voice and a lute. Adonia retraces the love story of Aphrodite and Adonis, which was set to music by numerous Italian musicians in the 16th century. The myth of Adonis is recreated through the dances and madrigals that punctuate this journey where cruel fate ends up standing in the way of love.
