The music of the Renaissance comes to life through the language of nature and animals. Pieces like "El grillo es bon cantore" by Josquin Desprez or "The white and sweet swan" by Jacob Arcadelt show us how composers imitated the sounds of nature, such as the singing of birds or the murmur of water. Listening to these madrigals and lies, children will discover how music can paint images, creating real "sound frescoes". These pieces not only tell love stories, the prevailing theme at that time, but they amuse us with mockery and jokes, offering a fascinating and playful way to explore the musical past.
