Welcome to XXIII Stockholm Early Music Festival 2024, run by EARLY MUSIC SWEDEN, the largest international event for baroque, renaissance and medieval music in the Nordic countries! The opening concert attracts with the Nordic region's undoubtedly leading baroque ensemble: Concerto Copenhagen. Swedish Ensemble Villancico seduces with Early World Music from baroque Latin America while Cappella Pratensis from the Netherlands sings beautiful Flemish vocal polyphony.
Renowned ensemble Arte dei Suonatori weaves a Polish baroque tapestry and from Italy, La Fonte Musica brings enchanting medieval music secrets. The festival concludes with masterful performers from Lviv, Ukraine: Terra Barocca. Also look out for traditional Sardinian polyphony, night concerts and Stravinsky performed on harpsichord! It's never too late for early music!
