Open Position in Schola Cantorum Basiliensis Leadership Team, Academy of Music FHNW

The Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, part of the Academy of Music FHNW in Basel, Switzerland, is a renowned institute for early music and historical performance. We are currently offering a position for a new member in the collaborative direction team (80-100%). The chosen candidate will contribute to the strategic planning and development of the Schola and take on specific roles in the teaching and/or research departments according to their qualifications. The position carries a leadership and management role for both the faculty and the student body.

Candidates will have a higher qualification in historical musical performance and/or historical musicology, upon which they have built an international reputation, as well as teaching and administrative experience at the university level. An early music focus should be at the core of their work. They should have excellent social skills and a desire to develop and work in an innovative team leadership model. Spoken and written fluency in German is a must, and excellent skills in English are also required.
