YORK EARLY MUSIC INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTISTS COMPETITION 2022

This July, York Early Music Festival will stage the 2022 York Early Music International Young Artists Competition. In the two days before the competition each finalist will give an informal concert followed by the competition on 16 July when the winners will be decided. Finalists are: ApotropaïK ensemble, (France); infiammabile, (Austria); Ensemble L’Aminta, (Austria); Palisander, (UK); Harmos Winds, (Netherlands); Ensemble Augelletti, (UK); Liturina (UK); Fair Oriana, (UK); Protean Quartet (Germany); and UnderStories, (Italy). A number of prizes will be awarded and include a recording with Linn Records. The 2019 winners were L'Apothéose who recorded their CD in York in April.
