Tage Alter Musik in Herne 2021

Under the theme "Back to Nature", artists from all over Europe present in nine concerts musical interpretations of nature from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century. Among them are Sicilian songs with Alfio Antico and La Pifarescha, dances of Spanish village festivals with the Accademia del Piacere or Beethoven's "Pastorale" in a chamber music version with the G.A.P. Ensemble. The French formation La Tempête takes us on a musical dream journey from the Middle Ages to the modern age, and the Italian Enea Barock Orchestra presents a real rarity with Hasse's serenata "Enea in Caonia". Finally, Purcell's "Fairy Queen" is on the programme with the WDR Rundfunkchor and l'arte del mondo. The city of Herne is located in the Ruhr region. All concerts are recorded by the cultural radio WDR 3 and will be offered to the EBU later.
