Ensemble Polytropon
The musical reading combines narration and music to revisit in the afternoon concert "Sleeping beauty in the woods" and in the morning, for the little ones, "Pollicino", both fairy tales of Charles Perrault. With music by Lully, Marais and Hotteterre, the atmosphere of the court of Louis XIV is evoked. The musicians play ironically the characters, creating a theatrical game that alternates comic moments to the narrating voice, celebrating the culture and the amusements of the Versailles palace.
