Recital for viola da gamba

This year, the concert for the European Day of Early Music in Rimat will take place on 8 March, International Women's Day, and as we like to do things properly, we have invited a woman to perform on this occasion.

The viola da gamba will be playing to its heart's content in this programme, which will freely combine Sainte Colombe, Monteverdi, Caix d'Hervelois, Marais, Hume, Forqueray and Dowland. Between great pieces from the repertoire and personal transcriptions, Mathilde Gomas invites you to savour the present moment, far from online videos, streaming platforms and the digital world.
She graduated with distinction with a Master's degree from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in 2019 under Paolo Pandolfo and performs regularly in Switzerland and throughout Europe, both solo and in ensembles.
Mathilde Gomas won second prize at the 2021 Bach-Abel International Competition (Köthen) and lives in Basel.
