Dido and Aeneas

The Collegium Musicum of the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles presents Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas with a prologue based on the themes of the original prologue: the sea and the forest. For the staging, we have called on Sigrid T'Hooft, who specialises in Baroque staging and movement. Most of the costumes come from Sigrid T'Hooft's private collection. The rest of the costumes and accessories were made by a student at the Conservatoire. The Collegium Musicum team is made up of students (both current and recent graduates) from the Conservatoire, who play all the roles in the opera. The singers also sing in the chorus.
