BachBjörk

BachBjörk is the new concept created by the NEMA Ensemble, which puts the most refined pop avant-garde in dialogue with the cultured tradition of western music. Alpha and Omega, figures at the antipodes, Bach and Björk represent the leitmotif of this concert that will see premiere pieces alternating with arrangements of hits by the Swedish artist and the Baroque.
A mosaic with polymorphous characteristics, BachBjörk will explore the fluid possibilities of dialogue between these two worlds. We will thus have ‘björkiised’ Bach pieces, or Björk themes developed in the form of counterpoint, but, at times, the explicit references to the two authors will disappear to leave room for the ‘hybrid’ atmosphere generated by the crasis, synthesis or collision between two sound universes.
