Event location: Úbeda and Baeza, Jaén, Spain
If the recent and dramatic emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has taught anything, it is the new dimension acquired by typically human values, such as responsibility and solidarity. The FeMAUB 2020 aims to put people at the centre. Nor is it overlooked that the most characteristic element from the creation of the festival has been the recovery and dissemination of Hispanic musical heritage in exceptional artistic settings such as those provided by the cities of Úbeda and Baeza. https://festivalubedaybaeza.com/
November - December 2020
The annual Geelvinck Early Piano Festival is aimed at performing both classical and contemporary works on historical pianos and other early keyboards. For its 10th edition, Geelvinck Festival' Early Piano' will present Beethoven in his 250th year. The festival, which prides itself in reconnecting the musical sounds of the past with the present, will contextualise Beethoven's work against his society and that of today in a series of online concerts, talks and a symposium. It will include two exciting projects on the Bashkir's Ship Bridge and Beethoven=Black. The world is welcome! Tickets purchasable on the festival's website.
