    Festival Duni - 21st edition

    The Festival will be opened on September 25 in the Dom of Matera by the first modern performance of the Neapolitan Oratorio Sant’Eustachio (patron saint of Matera) by Donato Ricchezza (Naples 1689) with Cappella Neapolitana conducted by Antonio Florio. You are all warmly welcome to the magic city of Matera!

    The UK’s premier autumn early music festival Brighton Early Music Festival is going digital this year, with BREMF@home - 10 specially created events screened on YouTube and Facebook between 23 October and 1 November. Each film will remain online for 7 days after the premiere for viewing flexibility around the world.

    Highlights include:

    · chamber versions of Mendelssohn’s Overture to a Midsummer Night’s Dream and Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony with REMA Showcase participants Pocket Sinfonia;

    · trio sonatas by Handel, Geminiani and Corelli performed by Ensemble Augelletti in a 15th century barn in rural Sussex;

    · medieval songs of protest with new animations of medieval images from Joglaresa

    · an introduction to the trumpet marine - a towering 2 metre high instrument saved from extinction by The Society of Strange and Ancient Instruments.
