Baroque Music from Flanders and Catalonia
    AMUZ - Be

At the request of AMUZ [Flanders Festival - Antwerp], Festival de Música Antiga dels Pirineus, Institut Ramon Llull and Flanders Arts Institute, the Flemish versatile musician and conductor Frank Agsteribbe brings musicians from Flanders and Catalonia together. Allow yourself to be astonished by the music of 18th century Flemish and Catalan composers who were very famous in their time, such as Pedro Rabassa, Francesc Valls and Henri Jacques de Croes. De Croes began his career as the first violinist at St James’ Church in Antwerp, later becoming the master of the court chapel in Brussels. He also made a great name for himself as a composer, with works including his violin concerto Il rossignolo & coucou. Ensemble Flandriae-Pyrenaei puts musical gems by famous names of the age back on the map!

Utopia sings the Lamentations of Morales
    2 – 10 November 2019-NL

Utopia performs the Lamentations of Cristóbal de Morales in the Netherlands. The singers interweave Morales’ virtuosic meditation with Gregorian chant and motets by Franco-Flemish contemporaries, thus creating an enchanting soundtrack to promote stillness and reflection. This concert tour is part of the Early Music Season, organised by the makers of the Utrecht Early Music Festival.

    Bach Chamber Music Festival

    Riga, Latvia

The International Bach Chamber Music Festival is focused on the intimate, the soulful, the personal. It manifests the producers' desire to reveal Bach from the "quiet side" and show that the relatively few sounds in a chamber music score can say just as much in the way of fundamental ideas, thoughts and content as Bach's major vocal and symphonic compositions.

The concept of the Festival strives to embrace a wealth of aesthetic, cultural and historical values. For one thing, audiences at the festival hear seldom performed interpretations of Bach's chamber music, including the compositions that were produced by the great artist's sons and contemporaries, as well as the music inspired by Bach's personality. The festival is also a cradle for new music - each year there are new works commissioned especially for the festival.
