Stockholm Early Music Festival
Stockholm Early Music Festival is the largest event in the Nordic countries for music from before 1750. It is also the only international festival in Sweden to encompass music and dance from baroque, renaissance and medieval times. The festival has been held in the historic setting of Stockholm’s Old Town since 2002, and annually offers its audience high-quality performances by international and Swedish artists, in the special summer atmosphere of early June. SEMF works to promote 1,000 years of living musical heritage and has established itself as a platform for early music in Sweden. Among the festival’s year-round activities is the concert series Early Music LIVE ! and the winter festival SEMF Christmas Edition.
