Música, Història i Art (MHA) festival
Asociación Cultural Comes is a cultural association that developes an important investigative and musicological task in favor of the musical Spanish patrimony. Since 1999, the focus of the association has been the organization of Música, Història i Art (MHA) festival.
The programming of the festival counts with the participation of some of leading national and international interpreters of historical music. It gives to Valencian public the possibility to enjoy early music in most important historical places of the city, looking for the combination of history, music and art.
Concerts take place in the most emblematic historical spaces of Valencia, as for example : the Patriarca’s Church, L’Almodí, Palau de Cervello, La Llotja (the headquarters of our festival), Museo de Bellas Artes de Valencia San Pio V, La Nau-Cultural Center Universitat de València, etc.
Since its first edition in 1999, the Festival has a fully consolidated activity in the city’s musical calendar.
Divulging activities are important and each year the programming is complemented with lectures by well-known musicologists, visiting artists and exhibitions of historical instruments.
The festival is kindly supported by Diputació de València. Among other partners like Universitat de València, Institut Valencià de la Música and Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y la Música del Ministerio de Cultura.
